DAY 1 UK to Bogotá Today you’ll depart on your overnight flight to Bogotá, Colombia’s vibrant capital city.
DAY 2 Bogotá After time to settle in at your hotel, we’ll gather as a group this afternoon for a tour of Bogotá. We’ll start at the city’s cultural heart, the historic centre known as La Candelaria. We’ll admire the Spanish colonial architecture in the main square, Plaza de Bolivar, originally a marketplace and the site of a bullring. From here we’ll see the cathedral, built

DAY 3 Villa de Leyva We’ll leave Bogotá this morning and head to the charming town of Villa de Leyva for an overnight stay. On our way we’ll visit Monserrate, the mountain that dominates the city. We’ll ascend by cable car to see the church here and also take in splendid views of the city on one side and the snow-capped Andes on the other.
As our journey continues we’ll pass by many greenhouses where carnations and roses are cultivated. Our next stop is the incredible Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral, carved out of the salt

As part of our Colombia tour we will take part in a planting ceremony of the Quindian wax palm to aid conservation of the endangered national tree.
