DAY 3 Tortuguero National Park Tortuguero National Park, one of the country’s most important ecological sites, is our destination on day 3. Meandering canals, surrounded by dense forest, stretch out into the Caribbean Sea. The vocal howler monkey is resident here along with crocodiles, caimans and the occasional turtle. We include visits to Tortuguero Village, to gain an insight into the local community, and the Caribbean Conservation Museum, to learn about

excursion. Discover different levels of the forest from the floor to the canopy and see a huge variety of flora and fauna. We’ll also visit the town of La Fortuna. In the late afternoon, enjoy an optional visit to the hot springs of Tabacon where the views of Arenal Volcano are excellent. Day 7 allows a day at leisure. Alternatively, join our pre-bookable optional boat trip along the Peñas Blancas River, which runs through the Tilaran Mountain Range. We also include a rainforest walk with a Local Guide.
