DAY 1 UK to Foligno You’ll fly to Rome today and drive to Foligno, located in the heart of Umbria, for a 3 night stay. Your hotel is in the central pedestrian zone of the town. DAY 2 Assisi We’ll visit Assisi today, said to be the jewel of Umbria. Beneath the slopes of Mount Subasio we’ll discover streets of

St Francis
muted pink stone buildings crowned by the famous Basilica of St Francis. This ambitious construction, actually two churches built on top of each other, is a celebration of 13th and 14th century art and decorated with renowned frescoes. We’ll have free time to explore the city; a wander to the Piazza del Commune is highly recommended.
Alternatively take a stroll amongst the narrow steep alleys and tiny shady squares and enjoy a bite to eat in one of the cafes. This evening join our optional tour to Spoleto, a delightful hill town.

DAY 3 Deruta & Marmore Waterfall The day is free for you to explore the historic centre of Foligno and perhaps visit one of the excellent chocolate shops. Alternatively, join our optional tour and discover more of the area. We’ll visit the medieval town of Deruta, famous worldwide for its colourful ceramics.
