TOUR

Lake Bled, Slovenia

Predjama Castle Portoroz

Ljubljana

MS Eos Postojna Caves

A free afternoon gives you plenty of opportunity for independent exploration or perhaps get together with your travelling companions for a walk along one of the many trails here. Alternatively, you could choose to relax in a lakeside café and further enjoy the scenery. HOTEL SAVICA, LAKE BLED (4-STAR)

DAY 5 Portoroz The name Portoroz translates literally as port of roses, and that is our destination today, where a three-night stay has been arranged. A great way to experience this elegant town, known for its abundance of beautiful flowers, is on foot. Why not join your Tour Manager for an afternoon stroll around the town and along the seafront promenade. Perhaps take a seat in a café and enjoy the views of the beautiful coastline as you breathe in the fresh sea air, or soak

up the sunshine as you relax around your hotel’s pool. HOTEL RIVIERA, PORTOROZ (4-STAR)

DAY 6 Piran The walled town of Piran showcases strong Venetian architectural influences, which we’ll appreciate from the water on a boat trip. The traditional harvesting of salt is a particular feature of the cultural heritage of Slovenia. We’ll head to the Salina salt pans, where a knowledgeable Local Guide will take us on a tour of this unique landscape which has protected status as a nature park and provides the perfect habitat for a number of plant and animal species.

We’ll round off our day with a visit to a vineyard for a tasting. Slovenia boasts excellent growing conditions and

produces some exceptional wines. In fact, the world’s oldest vine, which is at least 400 years old and still produces up to 25 litres of red wine annually, is located in Slovenia. HOTEL RIVIERA, PORTOROZ (4-STAR)

DAY 7 Postojna Caves The Postojna Caves are incredible caverns carved over thousands of years by the Pivka River. We’ll venture inside to discover incredible stalactites and stalagmites as we pass through this amazing underground world on today’s included excursion. We’ll then set our sights on higher ground as we visit nearby Predjama Castle, which has perched precariously on a high cliff for more than 700 years. Back at our hotel, we’ll gather for a farewell drink and dinner. HOTEL RIVIERA, PORTOROZ (4-STAR)

DAY 8 Ljubljana to UK Transfer to Ljubljana airport for your flight back to the UK.

Please note: This holiday includes walking in areas of rough ground, gradients and steps with little or no hand rails to offer assistance.
