DAY 1 UK to Verona Fly to Verona and transfer to your hotel on arrival. Located near to the shores of Lake Garda, the hotel is set amongst private parkland, offering wonderful views at every turn. We’ll get to know one another better this evening over a welcome drink before dinner.


DAY 2 Sirmione & Lazise We’ll begin our exploration of the area today, with an excursion to the south of Lake Garda. We’ll visit the lakeside resort of Sirmione, which is dominated by a fairytale castle - the 13th century Rocca Scaligera, and Lazise, a medieval town whose impressive walls date back to the 14th century. The area around Lake Garda is known for its production of light and fruity olive oil and we’ll also visit a producer to enjoy a tasting and see how it is made. Our tour ends with a picturesque ferry ride back to Toscolano Maderno.

DAY 3 Cremona Today we’ll visit Cremona, a city which is famous for its production of high- quality violins. We’ll see how a violin is made by hand – a process which can take up to six months – and enjoy a classical concert in the wonderful setting of the 12th century Baptistery.


There’s free time to explore at leisure with your travelling companions and perhaps visit the open-air market.


DAY 4 Valeggio sul Mincio & Borghetto Italy is known for its fine cuisine, with pasta being a staple ingredient. Today we’ll visit a pasta factory to see how tortellini is made, before we are served a light lunch giving us the chance to sample a variety of fillings. We’ll also try the traditional torta sbrisolona, a crisp and crumbly cake.

As we return to the hotel we’ll make a stop at Borghetto, a village often described as one of the most beautiful in Italy.


DAY 5 Salo, Gardone & Isola del Garda The town of Salo, on the west bank of Lake Garda, is our first stop today, before we take the ferry to Isola del Garda. This beautiful island is the biggest on Lake Garda. It’s covered by parkland and dominated by the stunning Villa Borghese Cavazza, whose spectacular Italian gardens tumble down to the water’s edge. This afternoon we’ll visit the picturesque town of Gardone.


DAY 6 Limone & Malcesine We’ve left today free for you to explore at your own pace. Boasting a mild climate and with many superb sights within easy reach, sparkling Lake Garda is in a glorious position set amongst olive and citrus groves, lush vineyards and soaring mountains. Why not head out with your travelling companions and discover the surrounding area.


Alternatively, you can join your Tour Manager on an optional excursion to the north of Lake Garda. We’ll visit Limone, a picturesque resort once renowned for growing lemons and other citrus fruits and sample some limoncello. We’ll then travel to Malcesine, a pretty town set between the shimmering waters of the lake and the mountain ridge of Monte Baldo, before returning to the hotel by ferry.


DAY 7 Toscolano Maderno Spend today at leisure enjoying the facilities at your hotel. Maybe take a dip in the pool, sip a drink in the bar or relax on the sun terrace. If you can tear yourself away, you could head out with your travelling companions and explore the picturesque town of Maderno. It’s home to the largest beach on the west bank of the lake, the perfect place to stop and watch the world go by. This evening we’ll enjoy a farewell get-together as our holiday comes to an end.


DAY 8 Verona to UK Today we’ll transfer to the airport for our flight back to the UK.
