Scottburgh Durban

DAYS 6-8 Enjoy three full days at leisure to relax at your hotel and explore at your own pace.

Within reach of Scottburgh, the Green Point Lighthouse is a must-see attraction. It was built in 1905 to warn sailors of the Aliwal Shoal, a rocky reef out to sea which boasts an abundance of marine life, and is one of the best dive sites in South Africa.

If you want to explore a little further afield, we offer an array of optional excursions. Perhaps you’ll take a sightseeing tour of Durban, the country’s third-largest city, which underwent major renovations ahead of the 2010 World Cup, or enjoy an unforgettable adventure into the mountains to the Sani Pass and Lesotho. Sometimes referred to as the roof of Africa, the pass soars 2,876 metres above sea level, and its summit is accessed by 4X4 vehicles. Wildlife lovers might also choose to experience an overnight stay at the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, which is renowned for its role in rhino conservation. This optional excursion includes one night’s accommodation and three incredible game drives.

On the evening of day 8 we’ll share our stories and experiences when we gather as a group for a farewell get-together.

DAYS 9 & 10 Durban to UK This morning, you could choose to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach before we transfer to the airport for our flight back to the UK, arriving on Day 10.

Please note: To maximise your enjoyment of this holiday a certain amount of walking is essential.
