DAY 1 UK to Lamezia Terme You’ll fly to Lamezia Terme today and transfer to your hotel in Cetraro. Set in an enviable location, overlooking the coastline. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the gastronomic region of Calabria.
This evening you can get to know your travelling companions over a welcome drink before dinner.
DAY 2 Cetraro Your hotel is set within magnificent grounds, so why not join your Tour Manager on a stroll through the delightful gardens. We’ll stop to take in the views out to sea and visit the organic farm which produces most of the delicious food that you will dine on during your stay. We’ll pause to sample the produce and admire the hotel’s crowning glory - the vineyards.
This afternoon you can relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities. Perhaps take the lift down to the private beach and spend some time soaking up the sun as you gaze out across the turquoise waters.

DAY 3 Belvedere and Diamante The ancient streets of Belvedere are a short distance from our base in Cetraro and we’ll head here after breakfast this morning. In the company of your Tour Manager you’ll enjoy a walk up to Belvedere Castle, discovering archways and ornate Baroque balconies along the way. We’ll also visit Diamante, where the streets are filled with murals by local artists. As we stroll along the promenade, look out to Cirella Island, once a pirate haunt, then enjoy some time to explore the town further with your travelling companions. Perhaps take the chance to browse around the bustling market, or relax and watch the world go by from an inviting pavement café.
We’ll head to a local restaurant for dinner this evening.
DAY 4 Altomonte Today we’ll head inland to Altomonte, a charming hilltop town which boasts centuries of glorious architecture and art treasures. Step into the cool interiors an ancient churches, shade under the cloisters of a Dominican

monastery and clamber up to the turrets of the Norman Tower as you explore this exquisite town.
DAY 5 Cetraro We have left today free for you to relax at leisure or explore further with your travelling companions. Perhaps take the hotel shuttle bus (payable locally) into the village of Cetraro and wander amongst the narrow cobblestone streets, churches, shops and cafés.
Back at the hotel, you might be tempted to take a dip in the pool, sip a glass of wine on the pretty terrace or maybe play a round of golf on the hotel’s 9-hole course.
DAY 6 Sila Mountains Today’s fabulous excursion takes us into the Sila Mountains, which cover a vast area in the heart of Calabria. We’ll encounter snow-capped peaks, crystal- clear streams and charming villages where time has seemingly stood still. You’ll have some free time in the Sila National Park to take a woodland walk, or simply relax by a pretty lake taking in the spectacular scenery.
DAY 7 Cosenza Yet more history awaits in the town of Cosenza. Here you can lose yourself among narrow streets, steep stairways and delightful medieval squares. On today’s tour we’ll admire the Romanesque architecture of the 12th century cathedral and the Baroque exterior of the Teatro Rendano.
This evening we’ll gather for a farewell dinner and get-together as our holiday comes to a close.
DAY 8 Lamezia Terme to UK Today we’ll transfer to the airport for our flight back to the UK.
