DAYS 1 & 2 UK to Lima Depart on your flight to Peru’s capital, Lima, arriving on day 2. Founded in 1535 by the Spanish Conquistador Francisco Pizarro, much of Spain’s colonial influence can still be seen today. Our tour of this UNESCO-listed city starts in the Main Square, where we’ll see the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace and the grand baroque cathedral, which was designed by Pizarro and houses his tomb. Next we visit the Santo Domingo Convent, then head to the modern district of San Isidro. In contrast to its skyscrapers is the pre-Incan pyramid of Huaca Huallamarca, which we’ll view before finishing our tour in the Parque del Amor for views of the Pacific Ocean.
Back at the hotel, we’ll gather to enjoy a welcome drink. JOSE ANTONIO, LIMA (4-STAR)
DAY 3 Paracas Today we head to Paracas, where we stay tonight. Located on Peru’s

DAY 4 Cuzco We start the day with a cruise to the Ballestas Islands, home to an array of wildlife from pelicans to sea lions. We’ll also see the mysterious El Candelabro – a huge geoglyph etched into the rocks which resembles a candelabra. A further highlight is a visit to a vineyard where we’ll learn about pisco, with a pisco sour cocktail masterclass and tasting included. Later, we fly to Cuzco, where we stay for three nights. JOSE ANTONIO, CUZCO (4-STAR)
DAY 5 Cuzco This morning why not join our optional excursion to Misminay, located 3,700 metres above the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Meet members of this traditional rural community and learn about local crafts.
