DAY 1 UK to Venice Fly to Venice. Settle in aboard your river cruiser, MS Michelangelo, and get to know your fellow travellers over a cocktail before dinner this evening. After dinner you may wish to take a stroll into Venice.
DAY 2 Padua & Polesella We begin our cruise this morning by sailing through the Lagoon before
entering the famous River Po. Our first port of call is Chioggia, from where you can join an optional excursion to the old university town of Padua. Soak up the sights on a tour of the city, which is teeming with fascinating history. Rejoin your ship in Taglio di Po before sailing on to Polesella where we dock overnight.
DAY 3 Ferrara, Verona & Taglio Di Po Ferrara and Verona are our destinations today. We begin in Ferrara, a striking Renaissance city. After lunch we head to Verona. Shakespeare chose Verona as the setting for one of his most famous plays, Romeo and Juliet, and your walking tour takes you to Juliet’s balcony. This afternoon we cruise to Taglio Di Po.

DAY 4 Chioggia & Venice After breakfast on board we return to the popular fishing port of Chioggia. After lunch on board we cruise back to Venice where you can take an optional guided tour.
Venice is one of the world’s most revered cities. On this afternoon’s tour we step inside the ornate Basilica di San Marco, take time to appreciate the wonderful Doge’s Palace, walk across the Bridge of Sighs and admire the magnificent Bell Tower which dominates Piazza San Marco.
DAY 5 Venice, Murano & Burano The morning is free to explore Venice or join an optional excursion to Murano and Burano - two of the most famous islands in the Venetian Lagoon. Murano is famous throughout the world for its hand-blown glass creations, while Burano, a traditional town built around a canal network, is famed for its lace, and you will find plenty of examples in the island’s shops.
In the afternoon we will return to Venice where you may choose to join your travelling companions for an optional gondola ride, explore further at leisure or simply take some time to relax. A farewell gala dinner will be served aboard the ship this evening.
DAY 6 Venice to UK You’ll fly back the UK today.
