Procedure Charge water into main vessel. Add Natrlquest®
E30. With high mixing,
sprinkle in the Activsoft CD. Mix until dispersed. Add a trace amount of Citric Acid solution. Batch will clear. Begin heating batch to 50°C. Add Phase B sequentially. Heat and mix until uniform. Cut the heat off. Add Phase C. At 40-45°C, add Phase D one at a time. In a side vessel, pre-mix Phase E. Slowly add the pre-mix to the batch in aliquots. Do not add all at once. Adjust the pH using the Sodium Hydroxide solution to 6.0-7.0. Viscosity can be tweaked further with the addition of Sodium Chloride.

T-2000 in Tegosoft TN and Solsperse 3000 using a dissolver plate until pigment is well dispersed (check by means of the microscope). Heat phase A1 to 75° C and add phase A2 while gently stirring. Check pigment distribution in oil phase with microscope and reheat to 75 °C. Heat phase B to 75° C. While stirring add phase B to phase A and homogenize. Cool down to below 45°C while slowly stirring and add phase C, cool down to room temperature while stirring. Properties Viscosity: 1,800 mPas (Brookfield RVT-DV II, Helipath C, 10 rpm, 23°C)
