FRAGRANCES 125 AMBITION / FLEXIBILITY / PASSION / INNOVATION
Passion fruit (Maracuja).
based on Rose Oil and Tea Tree Oil, both of which are Fair Trade (Fair For Life – IMO) and Organic (Soil Association). Other hydrosols can be sourced on request. Stronger than hydrosols in concentration
and aroma, Earthoil Waters are a unique alternative. Rather than being a by-product of steam distillation of essential oils, Earthoil Waters are a new product type - organic essential oils solublised in pure, natural mountain spring water. While Earthoil Waters are organic, the process can be adapted to any essential oil or absolute. The Earthoil Water products are created in a novel, proprietary process not requiring any additives. They are stable and bacteria free. No chemicals are used in the process. By comparison with hydrosols, the greater concentration of oils solubilised in this process creates products of stronger aroma, and with increased stability. Earthoil Waters are higher in oil concentration, and stronger in aroma, than is possible with a conventional hydrosol. The concentration of the essential oil in water is as high as 2%. Earthoil Waters can be based upon any essential oil – not only steam-distilled oils. They are exciting options for use in a wide variety of personal care and household formulations and can directly replace hydrosols and improve formulations. They will suit any end use requiring an organic source of aroma in a water-based product - in cosmetics, toiletries, spa and aromatherapy products, facial mists, fragrances and air fresheners. Passion fruit, also called Maracuja or yellow granadilla, is a South American vine from which a very refreshing juice is produced. In Latin America, the aerial parts of the Maracuja, the passiflore, are used for its relaxing properties. Virgin Maracuja Oil from Expanscience is obtained from the first cold pressing of maracuja seeds. This very light oil with a fruity fragrance will enliven formulations for a fine texture and volatile feel. The light oil spreads and penetrates quickly, softening the skin and releasing the evanescent and exotic fragrance of passion fruit.

In addition the oil strengthens the skin’s barrier function and protects it from external aggressions, thanks to its high content in tocotrienols, tocopherols and linoleic acid. A responsible approach is taken by using
the discarded seeds from the food supply chain, meaning the local economy is boosted in Peru by granting the producers access to a new market. The aim is also to preserve biodiversity by supporting Peru’s Pacific coast reforestation and by setting other cultures (avocado trees, papaya trees, mango trees). Naticide A from Sinerga, is a vegetable derivative fragrance with notable microbial growth inhibiting properties. Thanks to its vanilla- like scent, the use of additional perfumes can be avoided. Naticide is suitable for safe and preservative-free formulations and it is not classified as a traditional preservative (not listed in the Annex V). It offers excellent stability and total compatibility, and in addition to its high degree of skin tolerability is easy to handle.
