Lexus LS


The LS is the fl agship of the Lexus range and it’s priced to match. Unlike most cars in the luxury saloon sector, which are conservatively styled, the LS has quite a daring appearance, from its huge ‘spindle’ grille up front to its curvy fl anks and unusual rear end. Don’t buy this with the intention of keeping a low profi le. The interior of the LS is arguably its biggest selling point, however, as it’s of exceptional quality and uses construction methods and materials not all that common in the industry. There are plenty of details to pore over as you luxuriate in the superbly comfortable seats – front or rear. It’s almost irrelevant how the LS drives, though Lexus has, oddly, given it a Sport mode that makes the V6 engine (part of the hybrid system) scream like a sports car’s. Keep it in the default setting and don’t fl oor the throttle too much and it behaves itself a little better.
