Jeep Wrangler With a history that can be traced back to the 1940s, the Jeep Wrangler is the original 4x4 and this year sees the arrival of the latest generation. True to form it remains unmistakable in how it looks, but it is all-new. You can choose between two- and four-door bodies with soft or hardtop roofs, and owners can quickly remove the latter of these if desired by undoing some bolts. You can even fold the windscreen down. Everything about the Wrangler is rugged. Even the switchgear inside feels robust. Rubberised fl oor mats are available so that you can wash out the interior with a hose. Power comes from a 2.2-litre diesel engine and there is an all-wheel-drive transmission complete with low range box to enable you to tackle the most challenging routes off -road with help from the driver assistance systems should you need it.
