Jeep Renegade The Jeep Renegade may be the smallest model in the iconic off -road company’s range, but it’s every bit as big on style and charm and its boxy shape gives it a utilitarian image that makes it stand out. A variety of petrol and diesel engines, ranging in size from 1.0- to 2.0-litre, and outputs of 120- to 150hp provide plenty of choice, and the smaller petrol engines are up to the task of urban commuting. If you’re planning on doing some serious off -road work, then the torquier diesel makes sense. In a bid to reduce emissions, Jeep will also introduce a plug-in hybrid variant of the Renegade this coming year. Retaining its all-wheel-drive ability, the Renegade PHEV will use a 1.3-litre petrol engine up front, with an electric motor on the rear axle. A bespoke interior with a large 8.4-inch infotainment display and sub-50g/km emissions should add to its appeal.
