Surrounded by the Beskid Mountains, we cycle on cliff-cut paths along the picturesque Dunajec Gorge and into Slovakia. We will sample some delicious local cuisine and experience a warm welcome from the locals.

ITINERARY
Day 1 Fly to Krakow and drive to Zakopane. Days 2/3 Foothills of the Tatras Mountains Take a cable car to the summit of Mount Gubalowka. Enjoy the ride down to the timber-framed village of Chocholow. Follow a disused railway line, country lanes and a riverside path past the confluence of the White and Black Dunajec Rivers to the historic village of Lopuszna. Day 4 Dunajec Gorge Cycle the winding banks of the Bialka River to Spisz, a region rich in history, folk culture and castles. Day 5 Slovakia Cross the border taking the ‘Pieniny Way’, a path hewn from the cliffs of the Dunajec Gorge. Day 6 Feudal villages Cross back into Poland to the spa town of Szczawnica. Cycle to Rytro, an old feudal village at the foot of castle ruins. Continue through the Poprad Valley to Stary Sacz. Day 7 Krakow Enjoying a cycle tour of Krakow’s market square, medieval quarter and the historic Jewish Kazimierz district. Day 8 Fly to the UK.

We spend an exhilarating few days snow-shoeing and walking through the snow-covered surroundings. Day 1 Fly to Krakow and drive to the spa town of Szczawnica. Day 2 Pieniny Mountains Cross the border into Slovakia and take a walk along ‘Pieniny Way’ – a cliff-hewn path along the Dunajec Gorge into Pieninski National Park. Clip on snow shoes for walks along mountain trails, with spectacular views over the blanketed forests. Experience a torch-lit sleigh ride through the town and enjoy a food and music evening with the locals. Day 3 Snow trails Try some longer walks along the high mountain trails. Optional activities include skiing and snowboarding on the slopes and snowmobiling in the Jaworky forest. Day 4 Krakow Travel north to the historic castle town of Nowy Sacz. Reach the former Polish capital Krakow and take a guided walking tour of the ancient centre including the largest market square in medieval Europe. Optional visit to the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill. Day 5 Fly to the UK.
