Day 4 Apamea Visit Krak des Chevaliers Castle, the famous Roman waterwheels at Hama and the Greco-Roman city of Apamea. Drive to Latakia. Day 5 Ugarit Explore Saladin’s Castle and the city of Ugarit - the site where the world’s first alphabet was found. Day 6 Aleppo Visit St Simeon’s Monastery, the medieval Citadel and the bustling souks. Day 7 Rasafa Explore the trading post of Rasafa and the Roman fortress of Halabiye. Drive to Deir-ez-Zor.
