ITINERARY
Day 1 Fly to Dalaman and travel to Dalyan. Day 2 Dalyan Visit the ancient city of Caunos. Take a meandering boat trip from Dalyan through a maze of reeds to Iztuzu Beach. Day 3 Alinda and Gulluck Explore the ancient Carian city of Alinda and visit the well-preserved agora. Day 4 Ancient Ionian cities Explore Didyma’s Temple of Apollo – and the Ionian sites of Miletus and Priene. Day 5 Ephesus Enjoy a guided tour of the Greco-Roman city. Walk through the marble streets – where St Paul preached to the ancient Ephesians. Day 6 Aphrodisias Drive up onto to the Anatolian Plateau and explore this ancient city’s marble remains. Drive through mountainous countryside to Pamukkale. Day 7 Pamukkale and Pinara Discover the white travertines of Pamukkale – known as the ‘frozen waterfall’ – and enjoy a dip in the hot mineral waters of this ancient ‘spa’. Explore the remote hillside ruins of Pinara and travel to the old seaport of Fethiye. Day 8 Travel to Dalaman and fly to the UK.
