Day 1 Fly to San Jose. Days 2/4 Cano Negro Visit La Garita Orchid Garden. Tour the Cano Negro wetlands by boat or on foot (depending on the season). Spot migratory and indigenous birds and river wildlife. Days 5/6 Sarapiqui Take a night walk through rainforest at La Tirimbina Reserve. Learn where chocolate comes from. Day 7 Botanical Garden Visit La Cusingas Botanical Garden. Days 8/9 Caribbean Coast Hiking and snorkelling tour in Cahuita National Park. Discover coral, tropical fish and crustaceans. Visit the Yorkin indigenous village. Days 10/11 Turrialba Guided tour of the CATIE Center and Gardens (an organisation dedicated to reducing poverty through the management of agriculture and conservation). Visit the pre-Columbian site of Guayabo, which is surrounded by dense rainforest. Days 12/13 Cloud Forest Guided tour of the colonial town of Cartago en route to San Gerardo de Dota. Hike the Quetzal Route, looking for the brightly coloured Quetzal bird. Days 14/15 Corcovado
