On this wildlife based holiday we travel through Kenya’s beautiful Rift Valley discovering Lake Naivasha, Crescent Island Nature Reserve and the shores of Lake Victoria. We explore the vast gamelands of the Maasai Mara in search of elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes and rhinos. We also cross into Tanzania and discover the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater and meet Maasai warriors and Hadzabi bushmen.

ITINERARY
Days 1/2 Overnight flight to Nairobi (Kenya). Drive to Lake Naivasha. Days 3/4 Maasai Warriors Walking safari in Crescent Island Nature Reserve and also spend time with Maasai tribesman. Days 5/6 Maasai Mara Explore Kenya’s finest wildlife park in search of elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos and rhinos and hope to see hippos and crocodiles on the banks of the Mara and Talek rivers; drive to Kisii. Day 7 Lake Victoria Travel to Musoma in Tanzania, set on the shores of the great lake. Days 8/9 Serengeti Search the plains for the ‘Big Five’ and take an optional balloon flight. Days 10/11 Ngorongoro Crater Travel east through the Olduvai Gorge and enter the world’s largest intact caldera in search of game. Day 12 Tribal encounters There is the option of a full day excursion to lake Eyasi to meet Hadzabi bushmen or walk to Gibb’s Farm in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Day 13 Tarangire Search for game among the ancient baobab trees. Days 14/15 Take a final game drive before travelling to Kilimanjaro. Overnight flight to the UK..

THE MIGRATION
The annual migration is without doubt one of nature’s most impressive spectacles and a highlight you may be lucky enough to witness on some of our tours. Over a million wildebeest in lines up to 40km long take part in an annual cycle taking them between the great plains of the Serengeti and Kenya’s Maasai Mara in the constant search for food and water. Zebra and gazelle follow in their tracks in addition of course to predators large and small stalking the herds for their next meal. Whilst animal sightings can never be guaranteed, the map on the right illustrates where and when it may be possible to see the migration on both our Kenyan and northern Tanzanian safaris.
