Day 1 Fly to Anchorage. Days 2/4 Kenai Peninsula Explore the dramatic Kenai Peninsula, famous for spectacular glaciers, birdlife and whales. Free day for an optional cruise around the fjords searching for wildlife. Day 5 Prince William Sound Take a ferry passing the Colombia Glacier to Valdez. Days 6/8 Wrangell St Elias National Park Based in the copper town of McCarthy explore Wrangell St Elias National Park. Day 9 Alpine tundra Head west across alpine tundra and explore the untouched landscape en route to Denali National Park. Days 10/12 Denali National Park A great place to see grizzly bears. Hike park trails or try white-water rafting. Visit the old mining town of Talkeetna and enjoy views of Alaska’s most famous summit, Mount McKinley. Day 1 Fly to Halifax. Day 2 Novia Scotia Tour Novia Scotia’s famous capital, Halifax and visit the tranquil hamlet of Peggy’s cove before driving along the coast via Lunenburg to Mahone Bay. Days 3/4 Kejimkujik National Park Visit the fisheries museum in the major fishing port of Lunenberg and tour this UNESCO World Heritage town. Continue to Kejimkujik National Park and explore the forests and rivers of this unspoilt wilderness. Day 5 Digby Drive to the fishing port of Digby and take a ferry to Brier Island for hiking and optional whale watching. Day 6 Bay of Fundy Visit the tranquil town of Anapolis and the historic site of Port Royal. Return to Digby and catch a ferry across the Bay of Fundy to St Johns to spend the night. Days 7/8 Acadia National Park Take time to explore this idyllic setting of Acadia National Park, walking though forest trails or enjoy a range of optional activities including horseriding and boat trips. Day 9 Eastern Seaboard Transfer to the mainland and drive along the ‘granite coast’ from Maine to Ogunquit, a popular retreat for America’s wealthy east-coasters. Days 10/12 Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard Continue to Boston and take a ferry to Provincetown on Cape Cod. Over the next 2 days explore Cape Cod and enjoy a trip to the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard. There is an option to visit the historic island of Nantucket. Day 13 Boston Visit the site of the infamous Boston Tea Party and take a walk along the Freedom Trail. Days 14/15 Overnight flight to the UK.
