Days 1/2 Overnight flight to Lima. Day 3 Lima Enjoy a walking tour of the colonial capital. Fly to Cusco. Day 4 Cusco Visit colourful Pisac market and the vast Sacsayhuaman fortress. Explore Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. Days 5/6 Machu Picchu Take the train to Aguas Calientes and continue to the ancient mountain citadel of Machu Picchu. Return to Cusco. Day 7 Cusco Enjoy a free day. Optional activities include white-water rafting or a visit to nearby ruins. Day 8 Fly to Guayaquil. Day 9 Fly to the Galapagos Explore Santa Cruz Island and search for pelicans, flamingos and giant tortoises on Tortuga Bay. Days 10/13 Galapagos Cruise Travel by motor yacht around the volcanic Galapagos Islands: discover the fascinating landscape, take a dip in the sea and snorkel in sheltered bays. Fly to Quito. Day 14 Quito Tour the historic old town. Days 15/16 Otavalo Visit the largest Indian market in South America. Fly to the UK.

From tree-top canopies to jungle waterways, mountain summits and dense virgin rainforest we track the elusive Jaguar. Along the way we explore the capital city of Georgetown and experience Amerindian culture as we visit the local village of Surama and meet the school children of Aranaputa.

Days 1/2 Overnight flight to Georgetown. Explore this capital city on a guided tour, visiting vibrant markets and the Botanical Gardens. Days 3/4 Iwokrama River Lodge Explore the jungle, walk the trails and canoe through the backwaters of this tropical forest. Trek to the summit of Turtle Mountain for breath-taking views over the rainforest canopy. If we are lucky we may spot a jaguar. Days 5/6 Iwokrama Walkway Search for bird and butterfly species from walkways set high in the forest canopy. Days 7/8 Surama Village Travel to this Amerindian village and search for Tapir, Giant Otters and the elusive Guianan Cock-of-the Rock with local guides. Days 9/10 Burro Burro River Camp Paddle along the waterways in dugout canoes, fishing and searching for wildlife. Spend the night in a hammock camp.
