Day 1 Fly to Cairo. Day 2 Cairo Take a tour of the ancient sites. Day 3 Wadi Fairan Drive through the ‘Blue Valley’. Day 4 St Catherine’s Monastery Visit the monastery and climb Mount Sinai to watch the sunset. Travel to Dahab. Days 5/6 Ras Mohammed Take a safari drive through the national park and walk through the canyons. Camp on the beach. Take the ferry to Hurghada (fly or drive in bad weather). Day 7 Hurghada Relax by the Red Sea. Days 8/10 Luxor Travel by calesh to Karnak Temple. Visit Hatshepsut Temple and the Valley of the Kings. Board the cruise boat. Days 12/13 River cruise Drift along the Nile, stopping at the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo. Days 14/15 Aswan Explore the town’s thriving markets. Optional visit to Philae Temple or Abu Simbel; ride a camel to St Simeon’s Monastery.
