ITINERARY
Day 1 Join Kirwall on Orkney. Day 2 Kirkwall Visit the Maes Howe Neolithic tomb, which is covered in ancient writing. Explore the Stones of Stenness, Ring of Brodgar and Viking St. Magnus Cathedral at Kirkwall. Day 3 Skara Brae Visit the Stone Age village, a World Heritage site that is more than 5000 years old. Walk to the cliffs of Marwick Head and cross the causeway to the Brough of Birsay. Day 4 Island of Hoy Walk through the Berriedale Wood Valley to the famous Old Man of Hoy sea stack. Day 5 Westray Ferry to Westray to see the morning in Kirkwell. Explore medieval Pierowall church and Noltland Castle. Day 6 Papa Westray Ferry to ‘Papay’ to see the old Kirk at St Boniface (the oldest house in Europe). Discover seal colonies and maritime heathland at North Hill. Day 7 Noup Head Visit one of the British Isles’ largest seabird colonies. Ferry back to Orkney. Tour ends in Kirkwall.

Day 1 Isle of Lewis Join tour in Stornoway. Drive to the Butt (top) of Lewis for a walk. See the dramatically placed lighthouse. Day 2 The West Coast Explore the coastline, famous for the Dun Carloway Broch, an ancient fortification. Afternoon walk along the cliff tops. Day 3 Callandish After a tweed weaving demonstration visit the Standing Stones of Callanish. Catch the ferry to Harris. Day 4 St Kilda There is the option to visit the islands of St Kilda, the most remote part of the British Isles, the Shiant Islands or take a walk on the Southern end of Harris to see the medieval St Clements church. Day 5 The Isle of Skye Take the ferry to Skye. Walk in Quiraing- made famous by the 2007 film Stardust. Day 6 Cullin Hills Take the passenger boat to the remote Loch Coruisk set amidst the dramatic Cullin Hills of Skye for a walk to Camusunary beach. Day 7 Tour ends after breakfast.
