ITINERARY
Days 1/2 Overnight flight to Bishkek. Explore the city. Days 3/4 Karakol Drive around Lake Issy-Kul, surrounded by mountain peaks reaching 4,700m. Take a walk in the Djety-Oguz gorge and travel on to Kochkor. Days 5/6 High road to China Drive through magnificent landscapes, passing nomadic herders and spend a night in a yurt (felt tent). Cross the Torugart Pass and descend to the Silk Road city of Kashgar. Days 7/9 Kashgar Explore the Sunday bazaar. Optional journey on the Karakorum Highway to Karakul lake. Days 10/11 Kyrgyzstan Travel back through the Tien Shan Mountains to Kyrgyzstan. Spend the night in Tash Rabat – a fortified yurt camp. Travel to Song Kul and take an optional walk to a nearby peak. Stay in yurts by the lake. Day 12 Optional walk along the Moldo Too mountain range. Drive to Kochkor. Days 13/14 Bishkek Drive back to Bishkek visiting a local felt workshop. Optional visit to the Ala Archa gorge. Day 15 Fly to the UK.

Days 16/18 Kashgar Explore the colourful Sunday bazaar with the option to visit Karakul Lake. Days 19/20 Kyrgyzstan Return through the Tien Shan mountain range and spend a night at Tash Rabat.
