ITINERARY


Day 1 Fly to Guatemala City and drive to Antigua. Day 2 Antigua Enjoy a guided tour of the colonial town. Days 3/4 Copan Cross into Honduras. Discover the archaeological site of Copan, one of the best preserved in Central America. Days 5/6 Tikal Back in Guatemala visit the Mayan monuments at Quirigua. Explore the ancient temples, palaces and pyramids of Tikal – an impressive Mayan site. Days 7/8 Palenque Cross into Mexico by boat and visit the murals at Bonampak. Continue to Palenque: discover the labyrinth of ancient buildings including the tomb of the high priest Pakal. Day 9 Yucatan Peninsula Drive along the coast to the historic port of Campeche, stopping for lunch in the fishing town of Champotoon. Day 10

Day 1 Fly to Mexico City. Days 2/3 Pyramids Explore Mexico City. Visit the beautiful Basilica de Guadalupe, National Palace and cathedral. Day 7 Tequila Express Ride the train through the blue Tequila agave fields. Take a private tour of one of the Tequila estates and join locals for a fiesta at Casa Herradura. Day 8 Guadalajara Relax in Guadalajara and fly to Chihuahua in the afternoon. Days 9/11 Copper Canyon Railway Board the ‘El Chepe’ train for a 3-day ride through the breathtaking scenery of the Sierra Madre Mountains. Enjoy the dramatic scenery of the Copper Canyon from the Chihuahua-Al-Pacifico Railroad. Stay overnight in the villages of Posada Barrancas, Cerocahui and El Fuerte. Experience the local lifestyle and enjoy excursions to the spectacular Mirador of Cerro Gallegos viewpoint and along the canyon rim.
