Lexus LS


At the very top of the Lexus family tree is the LS saloon. Built to rival the likes of the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class, it has remained a rare sight on Irish roads. Probably because of its high price and less than economical engine off ering that consists of a 388hp 4.6-litre V8 or a 445hp 5.0-litre V8 with hybrid power, the latter of which also comes with a longer wheelbase. Nonetheless, it is a remarkably quiet car to ride in, and while its air suspension might smooth out the bumps, it is more a car to be driven in rather than enjoy driving. Lacking the increasingly high levels of driving dynamics that now feature in such cars the Lexus LS remains an automotive unicorn for those that want something very diff erent with a lot of luxury.


Lexus LC


Set to go on sale later in 2017, the Lexus LC is the company’s new luxury sports coupe that will feature both conventional and hybrid powertrain options. Combining its knowledge gained from the LFA supercar programme with greater levels of luxury the LC will have few rivals and could win over a lot of fans to the brand. Expect impressive performance
