1999 Carisma 1.8-litre GDI What made you buy the car?
Well actually I'm a real Japanese car fan. I saw the Carisma 1.8-litre G D I at Chatburn Village Motor Company and the presentation of their cars is really superb. I bought the Carisma because it looked so good ana had everything that I want in a car. It has every extra you could think of and it is extremely good value for money.
What do you think of it now?
I think it is great. I'm very pleased with it. It is extremely comfortable to drive and I find it very relaxing, as the engine is so quiet. Being such a fan of Japanese cars I find it difficult to fault.
What's it like to drive and own?
It's very economical and the- G D I injection system' also gives the car an impressive power boost when required. It's a pleasure to drive and very easy to park.
Would you buy another- say why?
Definitely! The Carisma has everything that I want in a car. It's so reliable and so well equipped for the money.

B e in g o ve r the limit It is an offence to drive, attempt to drive, or be in charge of a motor vehicle on a road o r public place it the level of alcohol in your breath, blood or urine exceeds the prescribed limit. The law specifically states that your alcohol level at the time of any alleged offence is presumed to be the same, or not le ss than, the result of the analysis of the breath, blood or urine sample.
It m a y be p o s s ib le to challenge th is if yo u c a n s h ow that: • you had consumed alcohol after you stopped driving but before the specimen for analysis was provided and • had you not taken that alcohol yo u would not have been over the limit and • your ability to drive would not have been impaired Note: If the offence alleged is being ‘in charge,’ it is a defence if you c an sh ow that there w a s n o likelihood of yo u driving while you were over the limit.
