Peugeot 3008 Leaving behind the MPV nature of the previous 3008, Peugeot has created one of the best crossovers in the segment. The bold styling features subtle details, especially as you move up the specifi cation ladder. Solid looks are what many buyers in this part of the market desire and Peugeot delivers. Inside, things get even better. The 3008 marks a signifi cant step up for the

French brand in both design and quality. From the 12.3-inch digital dashboard to the premium feel of the minimalist centre console, this is one car you’ll enjoy sitting in. The 3008 handles well on the move and has just the right balance of comfort and sportiness. Most buyers opt for the higher grade models as the step up from lower spec cars isn’t as steep as you’ll fi nd in some rivals.

Not only is the 108 Peugeot’s smallest car, but it is also one of a trio that includes the Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo. All are built using the same platform and basic design, though each gets unique styling front and rear, and we think it’s the Peugeot that comes out on top for the best look. Just two trim lines are available, but the higher ‘Allure’ spec is a better choice. Engine options consist of 1.0- or 1.2-litre petrol and with only €300 separating them, going for the more powerful one makes sense. Around towns and cities, the 108’s small size brings a nimble feel, but on the open road it starts to show its performance limitations, although the same is true for many of its rivals.

Available in both three- and fi ve-door guises, the Peugeot 208 hatchback is one of the most stylish superminis around. It comes in a variety of trims, and even the entry-level versions are well-equipped. Peugeot off ers a choice of additional colour packs so that you can personalise it further. Not everyone will love the smaller steering wheel or the iCockpit display, where you view the dials above the steering wheel rim, but the seven-inch touchscreen on higher-grade models is good to use. Petrol is the way to go unless you do very high mileage, in which case the diesel engines may make more sense. The 208 handles well and feels reasonably nippy in town. For the more performance-minded driver there is the 208 GTi, a deceptively quick car.
