Ditch 76 is suitable for Water Voles. The ditch is a narrow, shallow field drainage ditch that runs into Ditch 77. The ditch is overgrown with herbs and tall grasses and water depth is <10cm.

Ditch 77 is suitable for Water Voles. The ditch forms a section of the River Fynn. The banks are steep and suitable for burrowing. There is suitable vegetation on the banks and the water depth is 1 – 2 m. Access to survey at water level was not possible at the time of the survey due to the deep water and silt.
Pond 78
Pond 78 is not suitable for Water Voles. The pond is situated in a cattle field and is heavily poached. Suitable vegetation on the banks is limited and there are no earth banks suitable for burrowing.
