Target Note 309. Permenant grass dominated field headland bordering ditches of Target Note 310. Not accessed possibly Semi-improved.
Target Note 310. A series of ditches dominated by Phragmites australis (Common Reed). Not accessed.
Target Note 311. Phragmites australis (Common Reed) dominated swamp 20 m wide between arable fields and a farmland track at the base of a sea wall.
Target Note 312. A 20 m by 60 m brackish pool in the Phragmites australis (Common Reed) swamp of Target Note 211. No aquatic vegetation is present
Target Note 313. A grassy farmland track dominated by Arrhenatherum elatius (False Oat-grass) with occasional patches of Phragmites australis (Common Reed).
Target Note 314. Semi-improved vegetation of a 10 m wide, 3 m high sea wall dominated by Elytrigia atherica (Sea Couch) with a sward height of approximately 50 cm on the landward edge. The top of the bund comprises abundant Arrhenatherum elatius (False Oat-grass) and Elytrigia atherica (Sea Couch) with locally frequent Phragmites australis (Common Reed) and occasional Cirsium arvense (Creeping Thistle). The seaward edge is dominated by Elytrigia atherica (Sea Couch) with scattered Beta vulgaris ssp. maritima (Sea Beet).
Target Note 315. Salt-marsh on the east bank of the river Deben with similar vegetation to Target Note 246. Aster tripolium (Sea Aster) occurs less frequently than on the western bank.
Target Note 316. A semi-improved field sown with Lolium perenne (Perennial Rye- grass). Annual and ruderal herb species are present throughout implying the field is not particularly fertile. The herbaceous species present include Medicago arabica (Spotted Medick), Veronica arvensis (Wall Speedwell) and Erodium cicutarium (Common Stork's-bill). The field is bounded by a ditch system.
Target Note 317. A large recently dug lake with gravel/sand substrate. There was no aquatic or emergent vegetation present at the time of survey though the presence of large numbers of domesticated ducks implies that the water will suffer from eutrophication.
