Target Note 384. The River Flynn approximately 6 m wide and fast flowing with no aquatic vegetation present at the time of survey. The emergent vegetation is mostly Typha latifolia (Bulrush) with patches of Sparganium erectum (Branched Bur-reed). The river banks are lined with trees including Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore), Alnus glutinosa (Alder) and Salix caprea (Goat Willow). The bank vegetation is dominated by Urtica dioica (Common Nettle).
Target Note 385. Semi-improved neutral grassland on a 10o south west facing slope. The grassland is fairly species-rich including the species Achillea millefolium (Yarrow), Centaurea nigra (Common Knapweed), Equisetum arvense (Field Horsetail), Festuca rubra (Red Fescue), Leucanthemum vulgare (Oxeye Daisy) and Schedonorus arundicaceus (Tall Fescue).
