Bat Activity Surveys 3.3.1 Automated Bat Activity Surveys
All continuous (non-gappy) linear features crossed by the Onshore Cable Route (and therefore likely to be severed) with trees and within 200 m of known maternity roosts or 200 m of likely roost sources such as woodlands or groups of trees were surveyed for bat activity. The features chosen for bat activity surveys according to this protocol were identified during the Phase 1 Surveys (RSK 2012) and are mapped using a unique number in Figure 24.4.4. Data was collected in June and July; this is presented in Appendix E and summarised in Table 4 below.
