Target Note 146. A species-poor Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) hedge trimmed to about 2.5 m high and wide.
Target Note 147. Small area of Populus tremula (Aspen) woodland with a species-poor Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) field-layer.
Target Note 148. Area of scrub comprising frequent Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) and Sambucus nigra (Elder) with occasional Salix caprea (Goat Willow). The field layer is dominated by Urtica dioica (Common Nettle).
Target Note 149. A line of semi-mature Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak) trees reaching a height of approximately 15 m on an earth bank. The shrub layer comprises Prunus spinosa (Blackthorn), Corylus avellana (Hazel), Sambucus nigra (Elder) and Ribes nigrum (Black Currant) with Lonicera periclymenum (Honeysuckle) occasionally growing through the shrub canopy. There is a sparse field layer dominated by Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) with occasional seedlings of Lonicera periclymenum (Honeysuckle). Towards the edges of the shrub layer ruderal herbs such as Arctium minus (Lesser Burdock), Cynoglossum officinale (Hound’s-tongue) and Glechoma hederacea (Ground-ivy).
Target Note 150. A stream approximately 15 to 20 cm deep and 2 to 3 m wide with a silt bed. The vegetation of the banks contains abundant Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) growth with frequent Epilobium hirsutum (Great Willowherb) and Impatiens glandulifera (Indian Balsam). Occasional stands of trees occur along the route of the stream containing Alnus glutinosa (Alder) and Salix purpurea (Purple Willow).
Target Note 150a. A ditch dominated by common and ruderal species including Arctium minus (Lesser Burdock) and Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) as well as Myosoton aquaticum (Water Chickweed). (Indian Balsam) are present.

Target Note 151. A hedge with numerous gaps comprising Acer campestre (Field Maple), Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn), Prunus spinosa (Blackthorn), Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak) and Ulmus procera (English Elm) with Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak) standards becoming a Fagus sylvatica (Beech) garden hedge with a Robinia pseudoacacia (False-acacia) sapling. A sparse field-layer of Arctium minus (Lesser Burdock), Glechoma hederacea (Ground-ivy) and Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) is present.
