Target Note 210. An extensive area of Phragmites australis (Common Reed) swam on the edge of Martlesham Creek grading into Spartina anglica (Common Cord-grass) at the edges. Not accessed.
Target Note 211. Green algal beds on silt and mud.
Target Note 212. Small disjunct patches of Spartina anglica (Common Cord-grass) along the north bank of Martlesham Creek.
Target Note 213. A sea bund 5 m wide and 2.5 m in height dominated by the seaside grass Elytrigia atherica (Sea Couch) on the seaward edge. A path approximately 0.5 m wide is along the top of the bund with vegetation consisting of Dactylis glomerata (Cock’s-foot), Lolium perenne (Perennial Rye-grass), Plantago coronopus (Buck's-horn Plantain) and Plantago lanceolata (Ribwort Plantain). This vegetation continues on the northern landward side of the bund but occasional shrubs and small trees on it including the species Betula pendula (Silver Birch), Quercus ilex (Evergreen Oak), Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak) and Ulex europaeus (Gorse).
Target Note 214. A large channel approximately 20 m across with Phragmites australis (Common Reed) dominating the margins leaving a 3 m wide area of open water in the middle.
Target Note 215. Improved cattle grazed field with Juncus effusus (Soft-rush) and Deschampsia cespitosa (Tufted Hair-grass) present where it meets the channel described in Target Note 214.
Target Note 216. Strip of semi-natural woodland containing Fraxinus excelsior (Ash), Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak), Salix cinerea (Grey Willow) and other Salix species (Willow) with a shrub-layer dominated by Rubus fruticosus agg. (Bramble).

Target Note 218. A 2 m high Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) hedge with a field-layer dominated by Hedera helix (Ivy).
Target Note 219. A roadside verge consisting of a large area of Pteridium aquilinum (Bracken), grassland referable to the NVC community MG1 Arrhenatherum elatius grassland and a 12 m tall Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak).
