Target Note 288. A 6 m high gappy Prunus spinosa (Blackthorn) and Sambucus nigra (Elder) hedge with Hedera helix (Ivy) growing throughout. The field layer is referable to the NVC community MG1 Arrhenatherum elatius grassland.
Target Note 289. An abandoned building surrounded by ruderal vegetation comprising Arctium minus (Lesser Burdock), Arrhenatherum elatius (False Oat-grass), Artemisia vulgaris (Mugwort), Cirsium arvense (Creeping Thistle), Epilobium hirsutum (Great Willowherb) and Urtica dioica (Common Nettle).
Target Note 290. A gappy 6 m high hedge containing Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn), Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) and Ulmus species (Elm)
Target Note 291. A semi-natural broadleaved woodland with a canopy height of 13 m comprising Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore), Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) and Salix alba (White Willow). The shrub-layer contains Ilex aquifolium (Holly) and Sambucus nigra (Elder). Ruscus aculeatus (Butcher's-broom) is present but is likely to be a garden escape. The field-layer comprises ruderal species such as Arctium minus (Lesser Burdock), Heracleum sphondylium (Hogweed) and Urtica dioica (Common Nettle).
Target Note 291a. A 3.5 m tall hedge predominantly Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) with Prunus spinosa (Blackthorn). The field-layer is species-poor.
Target Note 291b. a 4.5 m hedge broadly similar in composition to Target Note 291a.
Target Note 291c. A very gapppy Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) and Sambucus nigra (Elder) hedgerow.
Target Note 292. A mesotrophic grassland strip along an un-mettled farm track. The vegetation is referable to MG1 Arrhenatherum elatius grassland.
Target Note 293. A unmanaged but densely growing hedge of Prunus spinosa (Blackthorn) and Ulmus species (Elm) 3.5 m in height with a sparse Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) field-layer.
Target Note 294. A leggy Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) dominated hedge 3 m in height with occasional Malus sylvestris (Crab Apple). The field-layer comprises ruderal species such as Arrhenatherum elatius (False Oat-grass), Ballota nigra (Black Horehound) and Urtica dioica (Common Nettle).
