Both the nut search surveys and the nest tube surveys found no evidence of Dormouse presence at any location within the Preferred Onshore Cable Corridor and Converter Station Refined Area of Search and therefore no mitigation is therefore required for this species. Dormice are notoriously slow to colonise new areas and therefore these results are valid for three years (English Nature, 2006). Should works be completed after three years then further surveys may be required.
