Target Note 268. Semi-natural broadleaved woodland with a canopy height of 12 m comprising Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore), Alnus glutinosa (Alder ), Castanea sativa (Sweet Chestnut) and Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) with a shrub layer of Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn). The field layer is dominated by Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) not accessed.

Target Note 270. Semi-natural broadleaved woodland comprising Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) and Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak) with a canopy height of 14 m. The shrub- layer contains Sambucus nigra (Elder) and Ulmus species (Elm). Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) dominates the field-layer. Not accessed.

Target Note 273. Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) dominated woodland with scattered Pinus sylvestris (Scots Pine) and Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak). The canopy reaches 18 m with a shrub-layer dominated by Sambucus nigra (Elder) and a field-layer dominated by Urtica dioica (Common Nettle).
Target Note 274. A 5 m high gappy hedge dominated by Prunus domestica (Wild Plum) with occasional Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) on a 0.5 m earth bank with a field-layer of Hedera helix (Ivy).
Target Note 275. A hedge similar to Target Note 274.
Target Note 276. Semi-natural Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) and Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak) woodland with a canopy height of 18 m. The shrub layer comprises Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) and Sambucus nigra (Elder) with patches of Rubus fruticosus agg. (Bramble). Not accessed.
Target Note 277. A Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) gappy hedge 3 m tall with 18 m Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) standards.
