Target Note 38c. Hedge of similar species to that described in Target Note 38. Target Note 38d. Hedge of similar species to that described in Target Note 38. Target Note 38e. Hedge of similar species to that described in Target Note 38.
Target Note 39. A track with mown grass verges and a row of planted trees about 10- 15 years old.
Target Note 40. A scrubby, untidy hedge dominated by Ulmus species (an Elm) with abundant Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) at the hedge base.
Target Note 41. A hedge similar to Target Note 40, but with taller Ulmus species (an Elm) trees and gaps where diseased trees have died.
Target Note 42. A hedge connecting two areas of mature woodland. From a distance it appears to be similar to Target Note 40, though maps show a stream running alongside it.
Target Note 44. A tall, leggy hedge comprising abundant Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) with frequent Prunus spinosa (Blackthorn) and Rosa canina (Dog-rose), and two Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) trees. The field-layer is disturbed and includes bare soil, Glechoma hederacea (Ground-ivy) and Urtica dioica (Common Nettle) together with some Arum maculatum (Lords-and-Ladies) and Brachypodium sylvaticum (False Brome).
Target Note 45. A field pond shaded by trees and shrubs including mature Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) and Salix alba (White Willow) trees, and Salix cinerea (Grey Willow) bushes.
Target Note 46. An overgrown hedge featuring two mature Fraxinus excelsior (Ash) trees over a gappy shrub-layer of Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) with Rosa canina (Dog-rose).
