Target Note 29. Roadside plantation woodland similar to Target Note 25.
Target Note 30. Horse pasture comprising a short, open turf with scattered Senecio jacobaea (Common Ragwort) and taller Arrhenatherum elatius (False Oat-grass) tussocks. It has much bare ground and a high moss cover with additional herbs including Achillea millefolium (Yarrow), cf. Pastinaca sativa (Wild Parsnip) and Plantago species (Plantains).
Target Note 31. A species-poor road hedge dominated by one or other of Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) and Ulmus procera (English Elm).
Target Note 32. A species-poor Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) hedge that widens at its northern end into a scrubby mixture of Acer campestre (Field Maple), Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn), Malus domestica (Apple) and Ulmus procera (English Elm).
Target Note 33. A mature Populus species (Poplar) plantation. Target Note 34. Wasteground with new hedges planted along the boundaries.
Target Note 35. Mixed plantation woodland containing Pinus species (a Pine) and Betula pendula (Silver Birch) together with other broad-leaves.
Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak) and Ulmus species (an Elm) trees along the east side, probably marking an old hedge line.
Target Note 36. An overgrown hedge comprising mainly Ulmus species (an Elm) including mature trees.
Target Note 37. A scrubby hedge dominated by Ulmus species (an Elm) trees about 15 m tall with a field-layer characterised by rough grasses and Urtica dioica (Common Nettle). To the south, the hedge is reduced to a strip of rough grassland with scattered Ulmus procera (English Elm) shrubs.
Target Note 38. A hedge dominated by Ulmus species (an Elm) shrubs and trees, varying in height from about 4 to 15 m.
