Target Note 362. A 6 m talle hedge contating Acer campestre (Field Maple), Crataegus laevigata (Midland Hawthorn) and Ilex aquifolium (Holly). The field-layer is broadly referable to MG1 Arrhenatherum elatius grassland with scattered plants of Brachypodium sylvaticum (False Brome) and Mercurialis perennis (Dog’s Mercury).
Target Note 363. A Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) dominated hedge with several standard trees comprising Ilex aquifolium (Holly), Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak) and Ulmus species (an Elm).
Target Note 364. A 5 m tall Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) and Ulmus species (an Elm) hedge on a 0.75 m hedge bank next to a road.
Target Note 364b. A hedge comprising mostly Corylus avellana (Hazel) with occasional Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn), Prunus avium (Wild Cherry), Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak), Rosa species (a Rose) and Sambucus nigra (Elder).
Target Note 364c. A hedge dominated by Ulmus procera (English Elm) with scattered Sambucus nigra (Elder).
Target Note 364d. A Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) dominated hedge.
Target Note 364e. A hedge co-dominated by Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn) and Prunus spinosa (Blackthorn) with Brachypodium sylvaticum (False Brome) in the field- layer.
Target Note 364h. A hedge dominated by Prunus spinosa (Blackthorn) with scattered Crataegus monogyna (Hawthorn), Quercus robur (Pedunculate Oak) and Sambucus nigra (Elder).
