Junior Cycle Geography CYCLONE Case Study: Irish Aid and Young Scientist Kenya (YSK)
In July 2017, Kenya launched its own version of the Young Scientist Exhibition, called Young Scientist Kenya (YSK). Funding from Irish Aid and from the Kenyan government has supported the development of YSK. It is hoped that YSK will:
Encourage interest in and development of the subject of Science and Technology in secondary schools
Assist in the development of Science teachers Provide links and contacts between secondary schools and third-level institutes specialising in Science and Technology throughout the country.
The competition has gone from strength to strength. The 2020 exhibition featured: Students
