People work in all kinds of different jobs in order to earn money. Jobs and industries are also known as economic activities. They can be broken down into three groups: primary, secondary and tertiary economic activities .
1. Primary economic activities are those in which people get natural resources from the land or sea, e.g. farming .
2. Secondary economic activities are those in which people process or manufacture products, e.g. car manufacturing.
3. Tertiary economic activities are those that provide useful services for people, e.g. driving taxis.
