Case Study: The New Town of Clonburris
In 2019, planning was approved for a new town submitted by South Dublin County. Clonburris is a new urban neighbourhood which, when complete, will deliver more than 8,000 homes for 23,000 people. It will also include retail and commercial hubs supporting up to 10,000 jobs.
The Development of Clonburris
Clonburris is located 12 km from the city centre and 21 km from Dublin Airport. It is also 23 km from the M50, which goes around Dublin City making it easier to access the city and suburbs. The new town will also benefit from being located on the Kildare–Dublin railway line.
