Introduction Learning Outcomes and Learning Intentions
The relevant Learning Outcomes are highlighted at the start of each chapter, to assist planning.
The Learning Outcomes are then broken down into student-friendly Learning Intentions to help focus lessons. These list what you should be able to do when you have completed the chapter. You should refer back to them regularly when studying.
Key Skills activities
The book includes regular ‘Key Skills’ activities for integrating active teaching strategies, peer assessment and group work, and developing the eight key skills.

Skills Book
It is intended that you use this textbook in conjunction with the Cyclone Skills Book. The exercises in the Skills Book allow you to develop your skills, apply knowledge gained and revise and reinforce key terms.
