Ask students to comment on their experience of listening to the lecture. Elicit what they found easy and what they found diffi cult. Ask students to share what they have learnt about medicine and about the skills of listening.

Refer students to Skills Bank 1.1, 1.2. Set students to work in pairs or small groups and to check how many of the recommended four Ps they covered during the listening. Encourage students to discuss what they can do to use these skills more eff ectively in the future.
Students could be asked to write a short refl ection (100–200 words) on their experience of the listening and what they can improve. T is could be used as a warmer for the next lesson.
