Tell students to identify what their partner has changed in each sentence by comparing it with the original. Ask them to evaluate how clear the new sentence is.

Encourage students to work together to revise their sentences. If you did not do so earlier, you could refer them to Vocabulary Bank 6.1 at this stage.
Closure
Ask students to compare the diffi culties they had in paraphrasing the stages of the life cycle of a virus, giving examples where possible. Feed back as a class.
