A feature fi lm is a full-length fi lm that has a story, uses professional actors and is usually shown in a cinema.
In this collection we analysed fi lm posters and learned about mise-en-scène. We took a look at costume by examining Mary Poppins Returns.
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial taught us about powerful music and how it can really change or enhance a scene. We also learned about important camera shots and angles that are used in fi lm scenes.
The short fi lm The Faeries of Blackheath Woods explored the technique of lighting and special effects and how they create the mood of the fi lm. We learned how colour can be used to symbolise something. We also learned how to write about key scenes in Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
Oktapodi and Bear Story helped us explore the world of animation and the March of the Penguins trailer gave us an insight into the features of a documentary.
We will now put all that learning together and read questions and answers based on the feature fi lm Sing Street.
What I will learn:
how to write about key scenes, costume, music, lighting and camera shots and angles
