People review books, fi lms, concerts and a host of other things. The purpose of a review is to tell others about an experience. Some of the best reviewers are full of opinions and very personal in their writing.
Traditionally, reviews were printed in newspapers and magazines. Reviews are also broadcast on the radio and television, but since the advent (birth) of the internet, there are hundreds of reviewing websites.

To do a review, you will need to know lots of adjectives. Make a list of as many adjectives as you can that might describe a book you have read or a programme, film, play or concert you have seen, for example ‘hilarious’, ‘terrifying’, ‘riveting’.
Goodreads is a website used by readers all around the world to share book reviews and recommendations. Readers can also keep a track of books they have read on the website.
