Artemis Fowl is a popular children’s book series that has scores of fans who have been anticipating a film adaptation, but I have to hope they expected more than this.

I think that maybe if I had never read any of the Artemis Fowl books, then I would merely hate this movie. But I have read them, and that makes it even worse.
