Suppliers’ Day: reimagining renewal and wellness

The New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) is planning its biggest edition of Suppliers’ Day, which will take place on 2-3 May at the Jacob Javits Convention Centre in New York City. As North America’s most important ingredients and formulation event, the 44th annual Suppliers’ Day will provide the latest trends, R&D advances, global ingredients, raw materials and solutions that will invigorate and accelerate beauty and personal care product developments. The theme, ‘Reimagining Renewal &
Wellness’, will be evident throughout the Suppliers’ Day ‘Week of Beauty’. The event will focus on all elements that foster renewal and will shine a light on sustainable beauty. Suppliers’ Day will bridge how wellness
and eco-consciousness touch all areas of the industry including home care, pet care, as well as feminine and intimate care. Attendees will be immersed in relaxing scents and be able to re- charge their minds and bodies in activations on the show floor along with key installations that will bring nature indoors! Suppliers’ Day will feature more than 60
hours of conference sessions and curated educational programmes, and 500+ global exhibitors showcasing a vast array of new products including novel ingredients, formulas, processing, advanced scientific testing equipment and more. Dynamic areas on the expansive show floor
will provide an enhanced attendee experience including the new Brazilian Pavilion as well as the Main Stage, Presentation Theatre, Future Chemists Workshop, University Row, Poster Presentations Showcase, and the Indie Pavilion with 13 juried brands.
Education programme A more expansive and diverse educational programme will be presented covering a number of topics vital to all aspects of the industry. Beauty Week in NYC kicks off with two Society of Cosmetic Chemists pre-event CEP courses taking place on 1 May. During Suppliers’ Day, the Javits Centre will
be filled with scientific expertise and discoveries that are driving beauty and personal care innovations and bringing new products to life. Attendees will be immersed in sustainable, clean, healthy, and green solutions impacting new product development and business success. Digital Age of Beauty provides actionable

strategies and innovations that influence product development and speed to market. Current trends and analytics that are key to future product development and the latest digital tools and techniques that drive, measure and analyze consumer engagement including AI and blockchain will be discussed. Microbiome: Inside Out Beauty, focused on
microbiome innovations and technologies that continue to dominate product development. The programme offers different expert perspectives and insight on microbiome health from head to toe, including oral and vaginal innovations. Renewal and wellness is not complete without exploring the latest trends in microbiome research. The World of Chemistry is a staple of NYSCC
education that delivers a global perspective and discussion on raw materials, solutions, formulation and regulations. Presenters will include experts from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America where emerging trends continue to define the global beauty landscape. The NYSCC Scientific Advisory Committee spearheads two courses that take deep dives into hot topics - Hair & Scalp Renewal & Wellness and Biotechnology in Beauty & Personal Care - that are relevant and timely to
chemists and R&D teams. Discover Sustainability is a cannot-miss
staple of Suppliers’ Day and is included in all attendees expo pass. Containing quick, but powerful presentations focusing on green beauty, circularity, upcycling, sourcing sustainable packaging and more. The INDIE 360 programme is back
and focuses on every angle of launching and sustaining a brand. Presentations include expertise on navigating ingredient sourcing, accelerator programmes, as well as troubleshooting supply chain challenges. A panel of indie brand founders sharing their stories including the challenges, opportunities and journeys to success, is a highlight. NYSCC continues its partnership with two
strong industry associations, IBA (Independent Beauty Association) and PCPC (Personal Care Product Council) at Suppliers’ Day. IBA’s Truth in Beauty featuring a panel of science communicators will be part of this year’s agenda. IBA will also participate in the INDIE
360 programme to provide Regulatory & Compliance Update. PCPC, along with the EU’s IKW, will present Reimagining, Renewal, & Wellness: Modernizing Cosmetics Regulations. Meanwhile, two lunch-and-learns sponsored
